Bristol Harbour Festival
29 July 2006
There was plenty to do and see at this years Bristol Harbour Festival. There were many events organised on the water, lifeboat displays, fireworks in the evening, and live bands on a big stage by the tall ships. Pirate actors entertained the children and adults alike. The festival was attended by the Dublin based famine ship replica, Jeannie Johnston, Iris, Matthew, and Kathleen and May. The sail up the Avon Gorge was spectacular and the highlight was passing under the Clifton Suspension Bridge. Ruth picked up a full crew for the return passage to Penzance. |
