New Sails for Ruth
26 September 2005
Much excitement this week on Ruth as a new set of sails is arriving. Our old sails are ending their useful life and we are switching to a more traditional Breton Red sail instead of the current white. The red colour in the sail was traditionally obtained using ox-blood. The sails are being made by Patrick Sellman and son of Falmouth - a small operation whose passion is sails for traditional vessels.
