Training with Portland Coastguard

During the week in which Ruth stayed in Weymouth she took part in training with the local coastguard helicopter practicing hi-line transfers of men and equipment between the deck of the ship and the helicopter. Good training for both parties involved. The highlight being an unexpected trip around Weymouth Bay in the helicopter for the Mate, Sam Wake - although the pilot did request a better looking passenger next time!
