Warm Weymouth Welcome

This September Ruth spent a week in Weymouth day sailing out of the picturesque Dorset harbour. Ruth was officially welcomed into port by the Mayor, Councillor Les Ames and his wife Jean. A reception was held on board for them, along with other Weymouth representatives, including Robbie Robertson (RNLI), Jacqui Gisborne (Weymouth & Portland Borough Council) and Michael Gill and his wife Diane (Vice Commodore of Royal Dorset Yacht Club). Firm friends were made and old friends enjoyed the fun.

Our visit to Weymouth coincided with the World Championships for the International J24 yacht racing event, in which 60 vessels took part.

A great weeks sailing and socialising, and thanks to all those in Weymouth who made it so.
