Mersey River Festival

s.v Ruth took part in the Mersey River Festival celebrations this year. Moored in Canning Half Tide Lock Ruth was open to the public for 3 days during which thousands of people walked her decks. Ruth was in the company of several square riggers and another Baltic trader Zebu, similar to Ruth but square rigged on her main mast. The crew enjoyed the City of Liverpool and highlights included Spitfire and Lancaster fly-bys and Neville Skelly's Swing Band, all free events for visitors to the festival. Ruth is currently being booked for the festival in 2006 and the crew are greatly looking forward to it.
